EAA Witness Limited or Stock II?

Hey all,

Looking for a new range toy and curious if anyone has first hand experience with the Witness Limited and Stock II. I know what the specs are for both but wondering what the SA pull on the Stock II is like compared to the Limited, and how each stacks up against one another. Thanks.

I can tell you about the Stock (aka Stock I) since I have one. Mine is a 10mm and it is my 2nd favorite gun to shoot (second to my Sig X-Five 9mm). Of all of the DA/SA triggers I've experienced, in SA mode, the one on my Stock has the least amount of take-up is clean and crisp. Much better than the stock trigger on my CZ 75B, as the 75B I have experiences a significant amount of camming.

The Limited Pro actually looks more like the original Stock. The Stock II has the extended dust cover. Other than the squared-off trigger guard on the Limited Pro, I can't tell any difference between the original Stock and Limited Pro....except price increase. It looks like the Limited Pro sells for roughly $100 more than the Stock sold for about 4 years ago.

I have the Witness Elite Limited, my shooting partner has the Elite Match. Both are super guns. The first day we shot his Match; I put a three inch target at 10 yards and put 20 of 20 rounds in that target. Just brought the gun up, fired 10 rounds; inserted another mag and fired 10 more rounds. Since then, he's done some work, new straight/flat trigger, springs, etc. Even better.

I bought the Limited for using a red dot on the optical mount. Using a Burris, the gun is unbelievable. 10 out of 10 in 5 inch targets at 25 yards. At l5 yards and less it tears up the middle of that 5 inch target. After 200 rounds and cleaning it, I shot using the iron sights. Can't do as well at 25 yards as with the Burris, nor as well at lesser distances. But, it's my eyesight, not the gun.

I'm in the process of new trigger, springs, etc.. The only difference I can tell with my friends gun is a slightly lighter trigger pull and difference of having a straight trigger vs a curved one; one of feel.

Thank you both for the replies.

RT, when comparing your friend's Elite Match to your Elite Limited, do you believe that with iron sights you see a good deal of difference with your gun vs. the match? I am debating on the Elite Match, Elite Stock II, or the Elite Limited. Of course, the Limited is highest on the price scale and I'm willing to pay for it, but am trying to determine if it's worth the extra $300 - $400.

Thanks.

The limited will have a superior sa trigger. The stock 2 (and all da/sa tanfo competition frame guns) needs work and some aftermarket parts to really shine.

The sa only guns can shine with just polishing internal parts. Mine has a 2.5# trigger with just polishing. My s2 and lim pro needed about $250+ (each) in aftermarket parts in order to be decent. Decent being 7# da and 3.5#sa.

For what I think you want (fun accurate easy shooting range gun) the limited will be your better choice. Especially if you don't like tinkering w them.
