Early voting starts in Texas next week!

Early voting starts Monday the 23rd in Texas. Vote early and vote often! Really, go vote asap and spend the rest of the time until Nov 7 getting others out for Bush.

In Texas the polls open Monday for early voting. You don't have to have any reason to vote early. Used to have to use an absentee ballot of you were going to be gone on election day. Years ago they decided that instead you could just go to a special polling place and vote early . Then they took away the requirement that you were going to be gone. Now anyone can go and vote early. You miss all the lines, just walk in vote and walk out. It may not be at your regular polling place, for example, in my rural county there are two places to go instead of the dozen or so regular places on election day. I love Texas!

When do the release the results of the early voting? I imagine they wait until after the 7th.
 
DEC, correct. There will be reports of "light" or "heavy" early voting, but votes are counted in with the regular voting on election day.

Later, some reports analyze the early v. regular voting numbers and percentages.
