Early Model 27 357 Magnum

What is a Model 27 Nickel 8 3/8, like new, p&r, with the checkered top strap and bbl rib in the wooden box worth? Beautiful gun unlike what you see nowadays. :o
 
My price for a nice N frame is $350. Sometimes I do better, recently I did worse because I really wanted it and upped my limit. Bought two 8 & 3/8" M27s in past year. A blued one much as you described for $315 and nickeled one in similar shape that I have wanted for a very long time for $421. This was at auction and one other bidder took it up there. All else had dropped out at around $300. A curse on him...

You have to decide what it is worth to you.
 
Retail book is a tad over $400.
I balk at $300 on N frames.
Like Saxon Pig says, what's it worth to you is what counts.

Well, the beautiful old S&Ws can be said to be the bargain of firearms these days. Look at what you get for $300 everywhere else. :D
