Anyone know anything about this company? Was just on their website. They have nickel plated ,single action revolvers called "Bounty Hunter" for 399.00.The nearest dealer is a 20 min drive from me. Did'nt even know that.

EAA stands for European American Armory. They import CZ clone automatics from Tanfoglio in Italy and the Bounty Hunter SA from Weirauch in Germany. They used to be the US agent for Baikal in Russia but Remington struck an exclusive deal with Baikal to import (some of) their stuff as the Spartan brand.

I don't think $399 is a real hot price for a Bounty Hunter. Compare it to a Ruger or a Uberti before you jump.

I sold dozens of these in my gun store days. They are very reliable. The only complaint I had was when a customer brought one back with a broken main spring. I swapped one out from a store gun in a few minutes and a phone call to EAA got me a new one in a few days.

I agree though that for $399 I would definitely price a Ruger. By all means go to your local dealer and check them out as they are worth a look.

The Bounty hunter and Windicator are both very good revlovers. That price is about $100.00 too high however.

Forget the Windicator line of revolvers. The EAA Bounty Hunter line of single actions are fairly durable. The main issue has been broken ejector rods/heads. EAA had the problem resolved the last I heard. Do not buy a EAA 22 as they are plagued with many problems. EAA stopped importing 22s due to QC issues. Bounty Hunter single action revolvers are built as well as Rugers. Ruger licenses their transfer bar safety design to the EAA Bounty Hunters. $300-350.00 is the usual street price. I bought a pair of nickel 357 Magnums for $500.00 NIB last year. Taurus is also making their Gaucho line of single actions.

I have a Bounty Hunter single action in .22 WMR with the interchangable cylinder for .22 LR. This pistol is big, heavy and durable, with over 1000 rounds of .22 Magnum and .22 LR out of her. I've not experienced a single problem with it, although the finish is wearing somewhat around the crown of the muzzle and the front of the cylinders. I attribute this primarily to holster wear, since this has been my backpacking gun for a while now.
