EAA Revolvers?

Dustin - recommend you be a bit more specific. Are you looking for single action or double action, large caliber/frame or smaller? Also, do you have a price range/limit? Being able to compare those parameters will help bring out more recommendations.

I don't know about EAA's revolvers, but their .45ACP "Witness" semi-auto got a great review at Jeff's "Gunblast" site:

It is likely that EAA sells guns that are made in different countries, so if you mention that you are looking at such-and-such EAA model(s), forum posters might have enough experience with those to give you some great advice.

Personally, I will not do business with EAA over a problem with some of their magazines for the .45 cal Witness. There were some issues with the mag style and capacity. When I called them to ask for an explanation i was told that the mags were fine and that was that.. I told the guy that I would take my problem with them to the gun boards and letters to editors of gun mags. Well then big boy got all huffy and threatened me with a law suit if I "besmirched their good name". Short of causing a big bru-ha I let it go.. and sold the pistol with the magazines. Never again will i do business with, or recommend them to, anyone.

We sold many EAA firearms when I worked at a gun store including Bounty Hunters, mostly in .357, .44, and .45 Colt. The only problem we ever had with one was a broken main spring shortly after purchase. When the customer brought it back, I swapped in a mainspring from another gun while he watched. He was happy and had no further problems.

Ordering parts was, while not difficult, was not my preferred way of doing business. We would call the phone number and leave a message on an answering machine. There was no other contact with the company. In their defense, any requested parts always arrived in a few days and if we told them it was for warranty were free of charge. We only had problems with a couple of EAA guns, both easily repairable. The other was two screws rattling loose in an O/U shotgun.

EAA is an import house. So it depends on what they import.

The Witness series autos are Italian clones of the CZ-75 action type, and have a decent reputation.

The "Windicator" DA wheelguns are just crap.

The "Bounty Hunters" are made on tooling originally set up by JP Sauer of Germany, related to Sig-Sauer. They're pretty good...kind of a "German Ruger". Main reason they never caught on big is you can get a real Ruger for not much more and get a slightly better gun and far better after-sale support.

The "Great Western II" is made by Pietta in Italy and have an excellent reputation as long as you don't need a drop-safe gun (in other words, authentic Colt SAA clone).

That’s hilarious! EAA has the worst reputation for customer service in the industry. Their name is the opposite of “good”.

Google EAA customer service and see what you find.
