what can u guys tell me about the EAA bountyhunter single action revolver. I was looking at one at the local shop , It was very heavy and felt very solid, It looked good and felt good and for 320.00 new Im seriously considering it, Has anyone fired a bountyhunter .357 , what do you think?

The Bounty Hunter guns are ok.
I had a pair of them when I started Cowboy Action six or seven years ago. They shoot well, look good, and are pretty well built, mostly. Problem is that some of the internal moving pieces are made of a softer metal and tend to wear quickly. If you intend to just shoot a match or two a month and not really practice very much, you will probably be happy with them. However, if you tend to shoot allot you will probably start having mechanical problems within six months to a year. I had to contact the company to get replacement triggers and transfer bar on two or three occaisons, this is the weak link in the gun. Others that I know, and people on the SASS wire, report the same exact mode of failure.
In my humble opinion, go with Ruger Vaqueros, the extra hundred to hundred fifty bucks per gun would be money very well spent. I have a pair of vaqueros that have thousands upon thousands of rounds through them with very, very few problems.

To be honest , Ill only be shooting 38's out of it, its a fun gun nothing tacticle and i dont plan to shoot competitive. its the price thats got me courious, IM a huge fan of the ruger old armys, BUt man...they cost more then blackhawks or vaqueros, My opinion anyway SS Ruger old army is best lookin revolver on the market today! but a grand for a pair...OUCH!
