Found some further info on E-Bay's no firearms policy. Looks like the Clintonites may ultimately be behind it. E-bay stated that the "Federal Government" contacted them with requests for information on possible illegal sales taking place over their website. The article stated that the Government has prohibited them (E-Bay) from commenting further as to which area or item category was being investigated. It's either Porno or Firearms the article stated. (you guess which one)

Actually it's neither porno or firearms. The real area of investigation centers on illegal software sales. The media latched on to this story with it's usual hype styled form of reporting. A lot of government agencies were "contacted" to determine if there were any violations. By the reasoning of the media, a simple phone call to ATF asking "Can Ebay be responsible for firearm sales or not?" would indicate the involvement of ATF. A story headline reading "Illegal sales of Windows 98 on Ebay" just doesn't have the same shock value as "Ebay sells machine guns to the children"*(gross exageration to show point)
