dumb question

Hey all, I know this is a dumb question, but it is pretty rainy out today and I'm going shooting. I was wondering if this has any adverse affect on cap and ball shooting triple 7. I'm taking a cartidge gun along too, but wondering if I should leave the cap and ball at home until next week when we are back to our normal clear weather here. Anybody?

Hello, as long as you are under roof and not in a direct downpour you should be good to go, done it many times, pghrich

You will need to find a sheltered place to load your smokers. then protect the nipples until time to cap. Once capped you would have to submerge the gun to keep it from working.

thanks guys, I took it out and no problems. I was just unsure about the humidity, it's normally pretty dry here in Texas. Then again, the Civil War was fought during inclement weather, so that's what I meant about a dumb question, lol. I thought about that when I was shooting.
