Dumb question about Ruger MK II sight

I know this is a dumb question, but it is easier to ask a dumb question than screw the sights up. I want to adjust the sights, and I am wondering about which way to adjust left ( clockwise or counterclockwise) and which way to adjust to come up. I shot it at the range the other day and it groups quite well (much better than me), but she is shooting two inches to the right and 3 inches low. Any help is much appreciated.

Do you have the owners manual? That information should be in the owners manual. If you don't have one, contact Ruger and they will send one to you for free. Now, on to the question.

According to the owners manual, page 21

Top (elevation) sight clockwise = lowers the impact.

Horizontal (windage) clockwise moves the shot to the left.

Rule of thumb

Moving the rear sight right moves the impact right.

Moving the front sight right moves the impact left.

To expand on Ledbetter's description, move the rear sight in the direction you want bullet impact to go. The reverse holds for the front sight, although every effort should be made to make sight corrections with the rear sight (and I think your Ruger has a fixed front, simplifying your options). Good luck.
