I know that a number of these laws have been rendered obsolete by changing technology and lifestyles. Quite a few are probably still "on the books".This site is a goof but some of those laws represent a problem for honest citizens.
For instance, NJ still prevents drivers from pumping their own gas, forcing petrol station attendents (who, like most NJ citizenry except for cops and criminals, are not allowed to pack firearms and must rely on vague knife legislation) to put themselves in harms way. A number of such attendents have been harmed or murdered.
