My God. I am sure you are all aware of the details.

I am just pointing out that when it comes to Liberals and Democrats (a majority not all) their man Clinton/Gore can do no wrong!

Here Bush stepped up to the plate and flat out admitted. No spin. No embellishment/exaggeration!

With Clinton it would have been. "Yes..I did sip of beer/alcholic beverage, but did not swallow said beverage" or "Can you please define the meaning of Driving While Intoxicated!

My respect for Bush has increased 1000%. No spin, nothing. We all knew he had alcohol problems back in the day and he was straight up with it.

This coming out just DAYS before the election is ONLY intended to hurt him considering that it has been in records for a quarter of a century! Gore missed a golden opportunity. He could have aired this out MONTHS ago during the primaries and hammered on it. Instead he waited to late!

Try to take away my gun...and you will see my 2nd Amendment Right in ACTION!!! -Me

The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crime. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." Thomas Jefferson

BTW CNN has a poll going and it goes a little something like this.

Will the news of George W. Bush's 1976 DUI arrest in Maine influence your vote?
------------------------------------
18,506 votes

Yes, it makes me question his judgment. 18%

No, what happened 24 years ago isn't relevant to the election. 62%

I wasn't voting for Bush anyway. 20%

The mud ISNT sticking! 62% against 18%

I was going to vote for Browne. Since I live in Texas, and Bush will carry Texas easily, I thought a vote for Browne would be a safe one. When I saw the news tonight, I was infuriated. 24 years ago? You gotta be kidding me. I'm sorry my Libertarian brethren, but now I must vote Bush. I don't give a tinker's damn about what Bush did 24 years ago. Lets look at what Clinton was doing in 1968. Perhaps organizing mass demonstrations on foriegn soil against the United States. If that wasn't enough to keep the American people from rejecting him outright, then I don't think Bush has a problem. By the way, I too enjoyed seeing a politician 'fess up, and admit the problem. Had he denied it, it would have been trouble. When he confessed, and then stated that it was that he didn't want his daughters to think less of him (for the specifics), I think that garnered lots of support. I think that is how the Bush campaign should handle the whole thing, and then say: "Shame on you Al Gore for attacking my family through the back door."

Between the DUI and the Nader/homosexual deal, the Dems have shot their own ass.

The desperation of Gore's camp is quite amusing...
