DSA FAL mount - replacement screws.

I have no question, just some information. I never liked the slotted screws that come with DSA's FAL scope mount.

You can order the correct size button-head cap screws from MSC. Part #75459206 (page 1377) is a box of 100 Holo-Krome 8-32 UNC 1/4" button-head cap screws. These have a 3/32" hex (Allen) key head, and match the mount finish reasonably well.

A followup.

One problem with the screws I mentioned in the previous post is that since they have such a relatively small Allen key head (3/32"), they strip easily due to the high force on those surfaces.

An improvement would be to find the same type of screw that has a large TORX-type head instead.
