Dry Lube

Futo Inu, this won't be much help. I tried the Rem Lube when it first came out and didn't like it. I've stayed away from dry lubes since. George
 
Not really dry lube, but I'm going to try some AmsOil dry silicone lube in the trigger mechanism (NOT on the rails, etc.) of my USP. I'll post after this weekend on how it worked.

take a look at some dry moly spray a salesman(of course) turned me onto
it is mfg by LPS and say's FORCE 842 dry moly lubricant. they are out of GA. and there # is 1-800-241-8334 have used it in everything from ar's to shotgun's this and a drop of syn-oil, really make a difference .
 
Wishbone has it right. Check out Sentry Products Armorer's kit. For about $30, you get a Tuf-Cloth, some Tuf-Glide (thin film lubricant; dries to touch in seconds), some Smooth-Kote, which is molybdenum disulfide with an isopropanol carrier; use on hammer / sear / trigger surfaces, also Sentry recommends coating bore (NOT chamber) with it; claims to eliminate fouling and leading. Also included is a powder for application to sear / hammer / trigger areas; supposedly decreases friction another 20% or so.

You can try some of Brownell's ACTION MAGIC II, a two part application dry lube. Makes stuff slick as oiled oysters on ice. Just don't get it in the chamber(S).

Action Magic

How well does Brownell's Action Magic work? How often does it have to be replaced? Why not in the chamber? Does it attract dust?
 
The chamber is not supposed to be lubed regardless of what type of lube you're using. Clean it and then wipe it dry when you're done.
 
I use Hoppies dri lube it is Molydisulfide on my slides and rails and brownells action lube inside. The dry lube makes the slide like glass. Dan
 
I've tried Hoppes dry lube before. It works, but the white residue it leaves on everything and looks pretty bad in my opinion.
 
I've only used Imperial Dry Lube for rifle case necks. I just got a bottle of the Hornady Pump Spray that the dealer says will take care of everything.....
 
The Sentry products line works great.
Be sure to use alcohol to really degrease first.
Try your trigger action with the dry lube before adding the powder. Some say its TOO slippery. I use just the lube on most things and its plenty.
The barrel and breach will clean up a lot easier as well.
Leaves a medium-dark grey color behind, not bad looking on internals.
 
I've been using the S&W dry lube on my XDm slide. It dries messy but a quick wipe down of the slide's exterior and I'm good to go. Works great.
