Dry firing my BP revolver

I wanted to get used to firing my revolver, but did not want to dry fire it without any cushion between the nipple and the hammer. I cut up small sections of fishtank air hose and it seems to be working just fine

Just remove the nipples. The section of the hammer below the head will impact the frame; if it's not a brass frame there shouldn't be any problem.

good idea on the bumper/tubing thingymabob!

I wonder how long they will hold up? I guess I'll have to try it;)

long enough to where I don't hear the hammer hit the nipple yet short enough to where it doesnt cause any drag or binding, I think it might be 1/4" long
