Drum mag questions

Hello,
Need some help. My ignorance may have cost me some dough today. Went to a small gun store today to kill some time and saw a drum mag for an AK and a SKS, both still in the plastic. The guy wanted $100 so I bought one for my WASR 10. Got home and noticed it was a 100 rd Chinese drum instead of a 75 rd.

Now for the questions:
I know 75 rd Romanian and Korean will work but will 100 rd Chinese work?
Where can I find a pouch for a 100 rd Chinese ak drum?
What should I look for or avoid?
Also, does anyone know how to clean the cosmoline off a drum mag?

Thanks for any info
Stuka

Yeah, I saw that, made sure I got the AK drum. I haven't opened the plastic yet, but from what I can see there aren't any markings. There's just a cheap little gold sticker that says "Made in China" between the feed tower and the key.

you did good. 100 round drums are harder to find.
I have a few 75 round drums for my m92.
have fun.
Romanian and Korean (rear loaders) are based on the chinese drums.
they are just a little bigger.

Thanks, just what I wanted to hear. I was afraid the answer would be "man you screwed up, that wont work" or something to that effect. Maybe now the wife will let me keep it if I tell her "I got it on sale".:p

lol, good one UniversalFrost. I'm thinking about picking up some AK and SKS drums for resale. I've seen they sell between $200 $300 and he only wants $100. Would give me a reason to buy a SKS if I couldn't sell them.

I've seen some 75 rd drums recently as low as $69.95, don't recall if they were Romys or Korean. I have a Chinese one from the good ole days, back when they were about $50.
