Tried over at CZForum.com and got nothing. Does anyone know which aftermarket CZ sights (I have a 75B Compact, btw) are truly drop-in? Don't want any milling...
LPA have several models that don't need any milling. But your question over at CZforum at least, was if there was any that didn't need any smithing. Thats another question, my LPA took some careful use of a hammer to put it into the slide.
The reason you probably didnt get an answer is every sight/gun combo is different. The dovetail can be off .1mm or .004" inches and changes everything. There are lots of people who make great sights for CZ's and cant really predict the install.
My Kahr K40 Mepro's came with instructions that said "usually you can use locktight and tap them right in place, however some material may have to be taken off for installation to assure proper fit" My sights needed filing to fit...some dont.
Shoot well
Don't think so. The only drop in sights for CZ's I ever saw were from Mec-Gar, and they seem to have been discontinued. Having a custom set installed isn't too expensive. The replacement sights from CZ-USA ala CZ85 Combat (have one, don't like them) are $73 and require some smithing.
Try www.pistolsmiths.com - they don't have a CZ section, you have to post to a general forum, but one of them may be able to set you up.
