Allow me to twist Mark Twains words into a current thought.... "Everyone talks about the high cost of oil, but nobody does anything about it". Well, maybe there are some things that we can be doing. We in this country are like infants that know not that they have fathers nor fortunes. We are rich with natural resourses; and yet due to waco-enviromentalists and Politicians we are allowing ourselves to be manipulated. In the 80's just the threat of coal-to-oil technology being developed by Reagan caused the price of oil to drop like a New York crane.

Everyone here should sign this petition at: http://www.americansolutions.com/act...b-346a1e096659
and then send it to everyone they know.

247,000 others have and it takes seconds and costs nothing, but the politicians will get the message. We have only ourselves to blame if our only actions are to snivell and wine, and the result will be more domanace by our "masters" (and thier masters [lobbyists] in Washington)

Looks like alot more folks are signing, the website is overwhelmed and, temporarily, you cant access the petition.

waste of time

How many time do you have to be informed that e-mail petitions are a waste of time. No-one pays any attention because they usually turn out to be a massive list of uncorroborated names. A list that could be generated by any hacker who wanted to produce a petition with a million names in about three minutes.

Serious people rely on sending real letters to get attention to their cause.

"Emailed petitions never work. If they gain interest, they grow exponentially to the point where the recipients mailbox bounces all further emails. Furthermore, they self perpetuate as the originators never set an end date. Years later the same petition will still be jamming internet systems." as found on http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/CHAIN_LETTERS/
