Dream Shotgun!

This might seem kind of silly, but I have a "dream shotgun" which I have only seen online, but want dearly. I THINK it is a Mossberg 590A1 special purpose 9-shot with wood furniture (finished quite uniquely) and a heat shield. However, I might be completely wrong and I'm relatively new to shotgunning! So if you fellas know what it is and can tell me how to go about obtaining this beauty I'd appreciate it a lot.

For instance, where would one get a wood stock and for-end like that for a 590A1?

Thanks in advance! and here's the link:

P.S. There's just something about a parkerized weapon with dark wood like such that just makes it somethin' else...

DanThaMan1776,

Yes, I agree with you, the aged wood makes the 590 look like a real shotgun. IMHO, with the plastic stock they look like mall-ninja wannabes.

Buy a Mossberg Item 50660 ($521 msrp, $384 at Buds) and then go shopping for a wood stock. OR, keep the OME stock and a little paint will give you a faux aged wood look. If you've no experience, Google faux wood finishes for help. You'll have your dream gun for about $400. If you don't like the faux job, then get real wood and age it.

Oh no, FUBAR alert!

Dan, the Item 50660 has just been re-described by Bud's, originally is was listed as parkerized; but, it seems the gun is actually matte blue. When it seems too good to be true, it usually is. Sorry for any confusion.

It should be noted that the owners, who didn't have their hearts set on a parkerized finish, rated this gun 5 out of 5 starts.
