We are now starting the 4th month of the new year.I recall a post from last year and around the holidays about certin gun wants, needs and gotta haves. Well have you gotten your Dream Gun of the year yet?
If not has your dream changed?
I can't remember what I may have said mine was,Too many guns, not enough money.
I guess mine was The New S&W Schofield but for obvious reasons I will not be buying.
Maybe another Beretta? Maybe a Glock??
Whatever it is its going to be neat. They always are :D

The M16AA (quad 50 on a M3 halftrack) is my first choice.

M2 Browning would be my second.

The blackpowder cannon which my Pop wouldn't let me buy when it I was in 3rd grade. It was only $119.00 and I had the money! I think if he had let me buy it, I wouldn't be buying all the modern stuff today. Serves Pop right!

I too had dreamed of a S&W 1076. Not anymore. Now I thing maybe a Match grade M2 Carbine!

I thought I'd seen it all, until a 22WMR spun a bunny 2 1/4 times in the air!

Galil, or Barrett light fifty. Unfortunately, unless I got all 6 numbers correct, I'll end up with an SLR 95, or a single shot, bolt action .50 BMG. Either way, I'm still grateful that I can buy those!

For me, it would be a match-grade M14, tricked out, with the little selector switch. :)

I can still get my hands on a TON of .308 military surplus ammo for general fun, and have a good supply of match-grade ammo for when that might be needed as well.

I did buy an AR-15 the other day, and am fitfully waiting for the day when I get to take it to the range for the first time.

I still want a real FN-FAL and a .50 caliber rifle that I can shoot left-handed. I saw a FN Paratrooper at the last gun show, but it was $3200. Way out of my price range. :(

I wouldn't call it my dream gun but I got a Les Baer 1911 for my birthday. Unfortunately, I bought the present for me :(

My dream gun is the one I can buy legally and not be susceptable to the NICS check. Then pickup as many hi caps at normal prices. It's also the dream gun that can carry anywhere in the United States.

Well I already picked up a Springfield Loaded 1911. I've decided on the Winchester M70 Classic SS in 30-06 for my new hunting rifle this year. :) Next year will either be a Mossberg 590, or a Marlin 1895G, or on of the new Marlins in .44 with the 16 inch barrels, or... You get the idea.

I would like to see DAO pistol the size of a micro Kahr that has the repeat striker capability of the Colt Pocket Nine and a 1911-style manual safety (something like what the Taurus PT-111 has on it). Oh, and if it was made entirely out of rust free titanium, that would be nice.

You guys dont get it... DREAM GUN!

I was thinking Rhinemetal 120MM - but then again - we are talking DREAMS... so I thought "HAN SOLO's BLASTER"...

Then a Star Destoyer's Turbo Lazer...

and finally I decided.

Scaramunga's Golden Take Down Gun. From James Bond's "Man with a Golden Gun".
Why?
Ashley doesnt make Express sights for a Turbo Lazer, and the Death Star's SUPER LAZER - well - from ground level, you can take it to the range, but you'll only get one shot off...
:D

I'm thinking the 10mm armor piercing explosive pulse rifle/repeating grenade launcher from Aliens.

Seriously:

A nice 1911 of some kind.
A nice FAL.
Benelli M4 super 90.

For some reason I've always wanted a 40mm quad-mount Bofors AA gun(s), mounted on my backyard deck overlooking my range. ;)
Even though it would take a few friends to help load and operate it, it would still be WAY cool!

For real, and still possible, a Browning M2.
