Well, shuffle with a walker would be more accurate. Bearing in mind that Monday it only took a couple of steps before I had to sit back down, I am pleased to announce (fanfare please):

Last night, on only my second attempt since the accident, I shuffled with my walker from the bed in my boyfriend's room all the way down the hall and to my computer in the front bedroom!

Whee!

Well done, Tamara!
(Crowd stands) Applause! Applause! (and even a couple of whistles, I'll bet!) :D

- and a tip o' the ole Stetson, ma'am!
Here! Have a Shiner Bock to celebrate! ;)

Well, all things considered, that would be considered a sprint! :D

Get well soon.

NRA? Good. Now join the GOA!

The NRA is our shield, the GOA will be our sword.

Excellent news, Tamara!

Sounds like Johns Hopkins should get some funding to investigate the power of the computer/internet as an incentive factor in the healing process. :) Of course it might only work for TFL members.

Go, Kid, "Shuffle off to Computer-alo."

Keep us posted and keep up the good work. :D :D :D :D :D :D and for those that don't like green smilies :p

As an aside: What was your time? LOL

Let's just say that if a 3-toed sloth who'd gone carnivore had been in pursuit, I'dve been toast. ;)

That's great, Tamara! The summer of '98 I had a round with a CNS debilitator and had to teach my legs to walk again, so I know how it is. I'm really glad your up and about.

Congrat's Tamara and it is a most happy experience to see your up and walking again.

:) :) :) :)
