Recently we were able to put the Mini Sass to the test. Here are the specs and the results.
DPMS Panther Mini SASS has an 18” medium contour 416 stainless steel fluted barrel, 6 grooves, right
hand 1X8 twist, button rifled with Panther Flash Hider, gas operated
rotating bolt, and an 8620 steel bolt carrier. Primary sights, scope/optics (not included). BUIS sights are included .The backup sights are Mangonel front and rear flip-up.
The upper receiver features A3 flattop dust cover, and shell
deflector. The Upper and Lower Receiver made of 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum.
The Lower Receiver feature Ambi-Selector installed, integral trigger guard,
and an aluminum magazine release button. The stock is a Magpul PRS and the
hand guards are standard length 4-rail free float tube, vented and includes
9 wide rail covers.
For the price this is an awesome rifle! My wife and I have run 500 rounds through the DPMS Mini Sass, and have not had any malfunctions of any kind. The fit and finish is excellent. Accuracy through the back up iron sights was good, however we look forward to mounting a Leupold LRT scope and running some quality match grade ammo for final accuracy results.
