DPMS Gas Block

Hello all. New guy here. Planning on changing the gas block in my DPMS Oracle in 5.56. I understand how to do the process, but concerned with how the set screws may not fit into the bottom holes recessed into barrel. Like the YHM, but only one screw fits. Thoughts?

You can just let one screw catch the hole and the other be snug to the barrel or let the second screw mark the barrel and put your own dimple in . I'd do the second.

You only need one.

With proper torque and mild cartridges (like 5.56/.223), you really don't even need the dimples in the barrel.

Just align the block properly, tighten as directed, and run it. (Apply your preferred loctite, if desired. I use green [wicking formula] after the fact.)
