DoubleTap

I'm looking for some info on a pistol produced by Heizer Defense, it's called the double tap. Their website isn't much help, I was wondering if anybody has seen one in person or even shot one. Does anybody know what the msrp is? I think it would make a heck of a backup gun.

I forgot: Welcome to TFL!

Sorry there's not more information here about the Heizer but, once it finally hits the shelves, I'm sure there will be more discussion about it.

I, too, was very interested in this gun when I first saw it, but much less so when I saw what the MSRP is. I just can't imagine spending near that for a gun that isn't as small as I'd have liked. I could get a really nice 9mm for quite a bit less and have an extra 4 shots in a similarly-sized package (IIRC).

I might consider it if it were about half of what MSRP is, maybe it'd even have to be less, cause I sure as heck wouldn't shoot it at the range much.

I don't think they will sell many!!!

That price is just way too high for what you get. They are so proud of them that I expect most folks will let them keep them. I certainly will.

I've seen them in person and am patiently waiting for Heizer to send me on for T&E. Here's a quick peak from Shot Show. http://youtu.be/HXq20luUDAo

They also just announced a white cerakote version called the Hedy Jane.

That's the first I've heard of em. Interesting but not at that price. I guess if you use "tactical" and "1911 ergonomics" you can charge more. I'm sure it feels just like a 1911. None for me thanks.

If it was in 357 magnum I would be a little more interested in it. It looks like a fun back up gun but for that price I am not interested in adding another caliber to my collection.
