Double Nine

I have a High Standard Double nine that has been laying in my shop for years.
I bought it from a guy I used to work with so he could pay his rent to keep him from getting evicted from his house a long time ago. He had been fast drawing it and the trigger is worn out. The hammer will drop from just thumping on the frame firmly.
Should I even fool with it or is there parts available for it?
I gave him $35.00 for it about 24 years ago, because thats what he needed.
It was probably about $34.95 too much.
Any thoughts?

Just a guess but it probably wasn't worn out, rather it was "doctored" out.
I would check the hammer and sear to see if they are ground out or if the pins or something else is actually worn out. Then call someone like Brownells, 1-800-741-0015. You would be surprised how many parts are still available for 24 year old guns. However, if the repair parts need a gunsmith to fit ($$), I would figure it wouldn't be worth fixing.

Gun Parts Corporation bought most of High Standards parts years ago and they have a large supply.

There are several models of the HS Double Nine, most of which are just cosmetic versions using the same action.
Order parts on the exact model you have.
