Double Barreled Loss for Gore

Two circuit judges in Seminole and Martin counties have found in favor of the Bush Campaign.

All contested absentee ballots will remain counted. Gore had sought to have 25,000 ballots (mostly votes for Bush) thrown out on a technicality.

More to come...

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Reuters) - Two Florida state judges on Friday ruled against two separate lawsuits that alleged tampering with some absentee ballot applications and called for thousands of votes to be thrown out. Leon County Circuit Judge Nikki Clark, who heard the case in Seminole County, and Terry Lewis, who dealt with the case in Martin County, ruled that despite irregularities, the integrity of the election was not compromised. The suits were not brought by Gore but by voters.

"Not brought by Gore" my ass...

Gore is 100% behind both of these suits and I wouldn't be surprised to find out he has instigated them.

The plantiff in Seminole is a Florida Democrat who consulted with that state's Democratic chair before bringing the suit, donated $50k to the Gore campaign as well as personally financing an attack ad against Cheney, and to top it all off - lawyers for the Gore campaign have admitted to meeting with him, looking over his legal arguments and making suggestions for changes.

The Orlando Sentinel has already covered the bogus "I'm not a party to this suit" claims by Gore... I can't believe the rest of the media continues to parrot his lies on the subject.

Bartholomew,

I watched most of both trials. In the Seminole case, a Democrat witness stated under oath that a lawyer for the Gore-Lieberman team in Florida was consulted about the Republican ballot issue. I am surprised that no news organization has picked up on it...

They seems they have been involved from the start.
