Don't Smoke, Don't Drink, Don't Use Illegal Drugs & Don't Buy GUNS!

Me & the little one are gonna be spending the week with my sister-in-law since the wife will be out of town on a business trip and she's gonna help me take care of the little one. Went over there today to bring stuff over to the spare room and start getting stuff sent up. Had the TV on checking out her satelite services which offers several hundred channels (or something like that) and I must have been watching an LA station because a public service message from the city of LA was televised with a woman standing on the left and the city seal behind her to the right ...

"... Don't drink alcohol, don't smoke, don't use illegal drugs and don't buy GUNS ..."

... I might have taken this the wrong way but to me it appears that they were implying that there was something as wrong with buying/owning guns as with using illegal drugs. Comments?

Has anyone else seen this commercial?

The way I see it there is something wrong with her! Nothing wrong with drinking a few beers now and then... Smoking is a personal preference, I for one dont care for it, but dont mind if other do smoke.

Buying guns is protected by the Constitution, period!!!

And no I have not seen that Commircial

Then what are we to do? :) :)

Or does she mean don't do these things at the same time. Get drunk and high and go to the gun store for a Les Baer and come home with a BB gun. :)

I second the statement. Sage advise from a true intellectual.

Regards,
MP

P.S.

I don't smoke.
I drink 6-24 beers a year
I don't use anything the doctor doesn't perscribe.
I buy guns. Lots of guns.

The Marxists have done a good job of recruiting the soccer moms and the media. Watching the telly may well be more harmful than doin drugs.

The internet, anarchy in action, may well be the saviour of our Constitutional Republic. It allows us to bypass the socialist mainstream media and unite the patriots.

We will be in deep doo doo if big brother shuts down our only truly free means of long distance communication.

How we comin on our blinker lessons?

The Los Angeles City Council is totally controlled by the Marxist Socialists. So is the Los Angeles County Supervisorial Council. So is the Kalifornina Legislature, Kalifornia Senate, the Governor's Office and the Kalifornia Attorney General's office.

The communistnazis OWN Kalifornia! Expect more of the same.

I've never understood why people live there.

Spent a summer there in the '60's, a couple of weeks working there in the '80's and 4 days with my daughter there on a school function in the '90's. Swore that was my last time in Kali. Did I miss something?

RKBA!

Yeah well, the three originals sins were what?

Smoking, Drinking, and F*()#ing. The governments been involved in two of them since forever. And sure as hell want to control the last one too.

They can go smoke, drink, and f&()# theirself as far as I'mm concerned.

I intervene with their crapaganda machine by buying more of what they say is bad...
Cause it's good for me... :)

DONT DRINK...DONT SMOKE...DONT DO DRUGS...AND.. DONT.... BUY.. GUNS...HUMMMMM...SHE SURE SOUNDS LIKE AN OLD FART.. :D

Now, Papa Cap, there comes a time in a lot of folks' lives where all they can do is drink, smoke and do whatever drugs the doc sez. I mean, you can do those things on the porch at the rest home! :)

And if you still are in control of your own checkbook, you can maybe afford a gun or two!

I plan on having a motorized wheelchair with cross-country wheels on it. And, of course, a shooting-brace and gun rack--and the Kalifornicators can continue their own brand of mental masturbation.

These people make me want to puke. I wonder if any of these anti's have ever done anything in their life that wasn't completely self serving? I hope they all develop terminal butt itch.

Carroll O'Connor, even though he's a liberal turd, said it 25 years ago-The only things in California are fruits and nuts. Living in Kalifornia is bad for one's health and well-being. If I were a religious fanatic, I would pray that everything west of the San Andreas fault be shaken into oblivion, following in the footsteps of Sodom and Gomorrah, to which Kali bears an ominous resemblance.

umm.. FUD, are you sure you caught a newscast there? Or did you watch much after it?

The reason I ask is that what you quote is pretty much word-for-word from a spoof newscast in a *bad* "dark future" movie I saw several years back. One of the robocops? Or TekWar, or som'n like that. To be honest, I can't remember WHICH movie it was -- but it was certainly a movie. Anybody know for certain? Y'know.. I'm thinkin' "Knight Rider 2000" (*ugh*) I vaguly remember something in that one about all the guns having been collected and melted down for society's safety. Except for the cops and the criminals, of course.

Kaylee, it wasn't a newscast. It looked like it was a 30-second commercial. After it ended it went to another commercial and I decided to switch stations -- might have been a spoof but it looked sort of real. That's why I asked if any other members have seen it or could shed some additional light on it. FUD.

Well, with the exception of the drugs (my dabbling in which was cured by, not some law, but by getting a grown up job; when all you have for free time is 48 precious weekend hours, you don't want to waste it giggling at cartoons and wolfing nachos), she pretty much covered most of the things that make life worthwhile for me. ;)

If she'd included "...and don't own fast cars or bikes" then I'd know that society has no place for me any more... :D

A long time ago, I heard a rumor that Kalifornia was on a fault line and was going to break free and float away. Think there is any chance that we can speed up the process?

Because it would take too long to commute back and forth from New Mexico every day. That's my excuse.

Donny,
Somehow, I think the gov't - the past 8 years (if not longer) - has definitely been in all three. As in "over".
