For concealment, durability, price, and comfort what would you suggest?

These holsters will be for my Springfield Champion 1911 and I might also be wanting one of these types for my future SA XD.

How do the shoulder rigs rate? Concealment Pancake and quick slide holsters in leather?

What kind of gun are you using with these holsters and for what purpose? Thanks for any input :D

Just got my Don Hume P.C.C.H.: Preferred Concealment Carry Holster and it is great. iti s comfortable to wear and conceals much better than my previous Bianchi holster.

For concealment Alessi and a myriad of others

For concealment Alessi, Milt Sparks, Brommeland, Del Fatti and a myriad of others ahead of these 2. For open carry or duty gear Don Hume ahead of Galco.

I have a Don Hume 721OT that I use to carry a Beretta Cougar (a mid-size frame pistol.) The hoster is a strong side, OWB that holds the weapon high & tight w/a forward cant - I can't believe how the weapon disappears under a cover shirt. Cougar is not a light gun (32oz) but I literally cannot feel it is there unless I bump against a chair sitting down etc. The holster just makes it disappear - both from how it feels & how it conceals. The 721OT uses a lot less leather than the Galco (the "Fletch" looks big & clunky by comparison) but retention is very secure. If I were to use a single word to describe, it would be "elegant." This is an elegant carry solution.

I like the 721OT well enough I went back & bought one for my Beretta M9 (military version of the Beretta 92.) The M9 is a full size: 8.5" long & 5.5" high (probably close to your 1911) compared to the Cougar 7" long & 5.5" high. The extra 1 1/2" in the slide changes the ergonomics of the carry. All previous comments still apply but I don't "forget" it's there. With the full-size frame I can feel the weapon is there. I didn't think these holsters would conceal as well as they do (don't like IWB and thought I was making a big trade-off.) What a nice surprise.

If you look at the price, I consider the Hume 721OT a "best value" in leather concealment holster. FWIW I'll be taking both weapons in the Humes to a day of tactical shooting Sunday (steel targets, IDPA stages, & some house clearing drills.) The Hume allows very fast draw, smooth presentation, & easy to reholster without looking. Buy the Hume it's great. :)

FIST K8 Holster.
Just received mine, it took two weeks but was well worth it. Every holster is custom made and not that bad of a price for what you get.
