don hume open end

I just bought a don hume iwb holster with open end. My sig P245 sticks thru abouta 3/4" otherwise it fits fine, comfortable to wear, and draws good. I see alot different owb where the barrell goes thru and a lot farther. Do you see any problems with this. Are there other holsters like ? This holster wasn't made for the P245 that I know of (bought used) but seems to fit as good as one could ask for. There's not a lot of P245 holsters around and I don't plan on carrying but ocasionally in the winter. thanks for any imput
 
I prefer to have the slide covered all the way. I have the Don Hume for my XD45c and love it. It covers it completely. I've had it for about 3 years now. But for my 1911 I have a Targa(?) with the open end. I'm not to fond of it and am planning on replacing it with a don hume. It has about 3 inches sticking out and seems like the slide could get scratched up pretty easy.
