Domestic or yotes?

Which do you believe tastes better?.... Just kidding! Seriously, I've been running across these tracks where I hunt and trap. To me the look like domestics because of the size and roundness, another hunter I described them too thought so as well, said they would be more narrow than round. I saw plenty more this morning, same size & dimension of what I've been seeing, by the way, no human tracks around these and they tend to show up at night or early morning. Anyway, here they are, with some of the scat I found near them as well, makes me think large yote. What say you? Also, the coin with the print is a dime, would have used a quarter, but hey, times are tough!

I am not sure how to differentiate from dogs to youtes... Heck they can cross breed so likely hard to tell. As for the scat... if it is a dog it is successful at hunting. There is no sign it has eaten feed at all. So it is either a 'yote or WORSE a feral dog... I don't like feral dogs at all as they do not have the multi-generational instinctual fear of humans which, IMHO, makes them dangerous to us and ours... KILL 'EM ALL... LET GOD SORT 'EM OUT!!!

It looks like chupacabra tracks to me. I don't see any goat hairs in the scat, though. If I could see goat hairs, I'd know for sure.

Could have changed it's diet, I guess.

Daryl, if only it were chupacabra! Who knows though, wouldn't it be cool to have one of those show up in one of the traps I have out for the yotes! I could be rich! Just imagine what you would get for one of those hides!:D
 
I'm not an expert but from what I understand coyote front paws are noticeably larger than rear paws I can't tell from those pics but I've noticed that to be true with tracks around my area. I've heard about 1/3 larger again which seems to be true from what I've seen.
 
I can't really tell from the pic. Coyotes' front toes are close together where as domestic dogs' are spread apart.

Looks like you may have interrupted him on the las two pics. :D:barf:
