Dolling up a couple beauties...

I have only a couple of higher end bolt action rifles, & recently I ran across some Redfield / Leupold style Millet rings that are engraved... after looking around a bit, seems they've offered them for a while, & still do, in various heights... all I've seen so far, have been in the same pattern, so they may be a standard item... I'm thinking they may add even more of touch of class to a couple my fancier rifles... I have a set ( I think ) on an older CZ 22 bolt rifle we inherited from MRS's dad... the rings are engraved anyway, & I always thought they gave an even classier look to the vintage CZ BTW... I've been upgrading my scopes & have recently purchased several Leupold scopes, as part of trying to "classy" up some of the bolt guns

curious what the general shooting population thinks ???

these look nice ??? these are too much ??? do you have any on one of your rifles ???

Not to my tastes, I wouldn't have them on a rifle. Engravings can add a touch of class to rifles, but most the time I feel that it is over done. This rifle has the right amount of engraving on it to compliment the rifle and not take away from it. I like the engravings on these rings better than the ones you have pictured, but if there isn't any similar engravings on the rifle I wouldn't add any engraved rings

This rifle was raffled off several years ago to raise money for a memorial scholarship fund.

I think they would look good on a rifle that has some other engraving on it. I think they would look out of place on my Weatherby Mark V.

Looked at the rings on my CZ 22, & I think they are the same pattern, but are 22 Tip off style ( 3/8" dovetail ) I needed a set of low rings for my Remington 700 in 35 Whelen ( this rifle was from Remington's heyday, when they used very nice wood ) that has a Leupold 2-7 scope on it, & currently wears a set of un-needed high rings... so I'm going to try a set on that rifle, & see if I like how it looks...

I agree with the Hawg. They look nicely done, but probably not a thing for a rifle with no other engraving. If this is the case, you will just have to have some similar engraving added to your favorite:p.

Very nice...

You want to see a rifle as art? Take a look at this beauty:

That's a $13K rifle worth every penny, if you've got it, in my opinion.

Stunning. Definitely the most beautiful sub-$50K rifle I've ever seen; easily the most beautiful sub-$25K rifle. But it's all in the eye of the beholder.

I have one engraved one in .280 AI built on a Mauser 98 - I will try to take and throw up a pic or three.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as I find that rifle overdone and gaudy to say the least.
