Doesn't the agent in the background have his finger on the trigger?

In the uncropped photo of Elian being seized it looked to me like the INS agent in the background (to the left) had his finger on the trigger.

I wouldn't make a big deal about this except for the fact that Reno seems to think it was a big deal.

I can't seem to find any uncropped photos anymore or else I would post it. Perhaps they don't want people to see this or else I was mistaken in my impression.

Anyone have an uncropped photo of this scene?

has the whole sequence of seven photos. I can't tell whether the guy in the background has his finger on the trigger or not. You could save it and blow it up, I guess.

The scariest photo (to me) is when the guy turns toward the photographer and it looks like he's swinging his gun around towards him.

The fingernail can plainly be seen on the trigger finger . NO finger on the trigger !!!

The thing that bothers me most is the fact that no one is making a big deal out of the fact that no warrent was served before they smashed the door down and trashed the house. None of the callers calling in to Fox news even mentioned it, and the announcers and talking heads also ignored it. We are being conditioned big time.

TOMBERGSTR,

He was talking about the officer/agent in the backgound of the uncropped picture not the one pointing the gun and Elian. Is that what you were talking about too?

How about posting the uncropped picture for us?

Joe

Obviously couldn't get the picture to work. Operator error. Anyhow, go to this site.

It seems to me like that is his finger pointing through the trigger guard. I don't know what else it could be.

I'm talking about the agent on the left, not the one on Elian.

Correct! In the uncropped pix on the front page of the Idaho Statesman, it is very clear that the agent in the rear has his finger through the trigger guard and on the trigger. I have shot many a round through MP5s, and I know just how little pressure it takes to crank off a few hot ones from the MP5.

Great submachine gun, though. Too bad most of us serfs can't own one. .B.

Watching the raid, there was one rather comical shot of a very large and fat agent lumbering along with a very small female INS agent. They were outside the out in the general melee! The boss told me that she wondered why such paragons of fitness were
allowed to be agents in danger. He looked like he was going to croak.

Also, I think I saw him with a pistol grip shotgun and his finger on the trigger as he ran or whatever that was he was doing.

I saw those same two "agents" and told my cousin this morning that I think they were just way outta place. Boy I sure would hate to come up against that little female agent

but of course she could probly tear me in half

I saw THE PHOTO on the front page of the Sunday newspaper. I thought to myself, that looks familiar. Where have I seen that before? Then I remembered. On the cover of a book decried by many as a paranoid fantasy of right-wing extremists. A book that chronicled many similar incidents of federal terrorism. A book called UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES.

The safety looks like its engaged and the finger resting on the trigger housing. Anyway, right or wrong, it was "for the children."
