Does your laser wander?

I have / had 3 different lasers for my handguns, including one that replaced the guide spring assembly and 2 guide rail mounts. It seems like there is a slight tendency for all of them to wander with time, in particular the rail mounts.

Anyone else noticed the same thing?
Anyone have a laser they like that doesn't wander at all?

Thanks,

Mine is picky about being put back ont he rail. I use one for the range and another for HD.

That said, I simply check that the sparkle is where I am aiming when done, redo it if not.

The range one did move a bit at first bust has settled down. Ok, as I am just shooting for groups and its not a lot if I needed to use it in place of the HD one.

Rail mount seems by far the better way to go.

Possibly the wandering is because you are not mounting the laser in exactly the same place and in exactly the same way every time... It could also be that the device itself isnt being held on firmly, dont break it but tighten it down good.

Good observation BG.
Rail mount seems to be so tight the next 1/8 turn could be it's last. And it seems solid wrt the rail.
Havent taken it off lately and movement is more left-right than vertical.
At 10 yards about 1-2" difference noticed.
That error is no good at longer distances but close in not real bad.

I have a CT on a charter that has that problem also, not very noticalbe at 7yds but at 15 it shifts a little time to time. Still inside 8'' though.

What do you mean by wandering? Do you mean when you are using the laser it will drift off POA? Or, do you mean the it will be zeroed in one day and slightly off the next? I have a Crimson Trace on my EDC and the first few times I took it off for cleaning I'd find that they were no longer zeroed after reinstalling. It has not happened since but I though I'd mention it.
