Does the UN Have the Right?

Don't know if this has already been posted, but there is an excellent editorial from Simon Jenkins of The London Times on the UN efforts to grab global power titled, "UN Fights for its Right", dated 9/8. The article can be found at the following URL:

Like any political body, if the organization does NOT have the legal authority to intervene with force, they merely change the perspective of the situation.

If the UN can not intervene in civil wars, then the entrenched leaders call the conflict a fight against terrorism.

Eureka! The UN responds to the request of "the people" (the leader) to enforce peace.

From your township or county government all the way to the UN, the first priority of any political entity is to survive. The second priority is to gain power and dominate.

Actually Fox News is IMHO the best TV News out there. They are more objective and more aggressive than the next five news channels combined. Check out The O'Reilly Factor.
