Does Legal Scare You?

Some of the posts in the Legal forum are informative, some are paranoid, some are scary. The funny thing is, the more I read the exceptionally paranoid posts (the UN is flying training Nuke missions over Wyoming) the less absurb the lesser paranoid ones seem.

Am I getting sucked in to an X-File thinking philosophy, or are these theories plausible? Are some people that STUPID? Does the President of the United States open denounce freedom? Do sheep think it is the gun's fault? Does Warren Beatty really think that someone actually gives a $hit about what he thinks? Does John Ravolta really think that his desire to re-elect Clinton is shared?

Do I really belong to a society that has not banned Carrot Top yet?

I am scared.

Hehehehehehehee! Yes to all.

I wish I knew were I've seen it...posted on the doomer board I inhabit when not here...something Klinton said to the effect:

It's time to remove democracy/freedom from American society because it gets in the way of our plans.

but hey-what's life without paranoidism?

The unfortunate problem is that these days so much xfilesish BS is actually going on we may as well be in a TV show. I guess truth is stranger then fiction in a lot of ways. As for carrot top, I don't really think anyone belongs in a society where he hasn't been banned.

The only posts that scare me are the ones that justify murderers. Such as, when some guy gets ticked off at beaurocrats and murders a few of them, there may be a couple of posts calling him a patriot, and how the people got what they deserved, etc. For example, the man who murdered a couple of FDA inspectors because they said he wasn't cooking his sausage hot enough. Or the man who shot a couple of women in the back because they gave him trouble over his property. All "patriots." Don't make me vomit.

At the risk of sounding a bit, well, "off" myself, sometimes those that are paranoid just know something we don't... (I mean c'mon, do you really think it's just coincidence there was a Hertz counter open at the Dallas airport the day Oswald alledgedly shot JFK? Sounds just a little too convenient to me... :D )

Is that a computer simulation of the Davy Crockett tactical nuclear bazooka? Ya' know - the one they shelved back in the sixties 'cause it had a 1 mile range, but a 1½ mile blast radius? (Talk about calling in fire on your own position!)

Nikita Khrushchev predicted confidently in a speech in Bucharest, Rumania on June 19, 1962 that: " The United States will eventually fly the Communist Red Flag...the American people will hoist it themselves."
