Does Glock 3.5 lb. Connector Wear Faster?

I'm thinking about putting the Glock factory 3.5lb. connector, with the NY1 New York trigger spring in a G17, G19, G26 and G30.

Can anyone tell me if the 3.5 connector wears out faster than the stock 5.5lb. connector?

Are there any drawbacks to this configuration? I think this would give me a 5.5 lb. trigger pull. Is it a better 5.5 lb. pull than the stock 5.5 lb. pull?

Thanks for any help,
Steve

Neither connector will wear out in your lifetime, nor the Glock you put it in. The connector weight is not the trigger pull weight. A 3.5lb connector will be around 4.5 - 5.5 lbs with a stock 5lb tension trigger reset spring and stock 5lb striker spring. Adding a NY #1(8lb) compression reset spring will add some pull weight, but take out a little travel.
