Hey guys I've heard that corbon make this load at all? I heard they do but don't see it on thair website. I am just curious as whether corbon makes this load it's no biggie as I just bought some of this by winchester but just wondering is all. Thanks in advance.

Not that I'm aware of. Too "low tech" for 'em.

I'll bet the same basic concept would work in .44Spl at around 850fps.

Corbon used to make a lead 158 grain load loaded to around 950 fps or better but they dropped it from their line a couple of years ago. I believe it was rated as +P+. Just yesterday I was talking to someone about them (having never used them myself) and was told that one problem with them was bullets jumping their crimp in smaller, lighter guns. This is the same reason the titanium guns are not recommended for use with 158 plus P. Maybe Terry Murbach will jump in and shed more light on why they were dropped. I wish they still made them because they might be really good in K-frame sized .38s. Of course, as others have posted, Corbon does seem to be oriented toward lighter, faster loads as a general rule.

They did used to make the 158 LHP in 38 spl. They stopped partially due to bullets jumping out of crimp and also due to the problems with QC due to the fact that the bullets are very soft and they were crushing and collapsing the hollowpoint when seating.

Cor-bon's was a +P+ loaded to 1,000fps from a 4" barrel,i'll carried mine in a 3" SP-101 .I also had problems with the crimp until i ran mine thru a crimp die then that problem went away.I believe the round was dropped because of slow sells.

WELL NOW, IN A PROFOUND CASE OF MONDAY MORNING RECTAL/CRANIAL INVERSION

I PUT THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION IN ONE OF THE OTHER QUESTIONS HERE PERTAINING TO 38SPL+P/+P+ AMMUNITION.
HEY, GMAB, LIFE AIN'T EASY FOR THE DRAIN BAMAGED...
