Never shot a Python and can't remember seeing a negative comment about them..owned and shot a Official Police and always like it's charactistics..are they similar in action construction except maybe the Python had more polishing done to them at the time of manufacturing???
Exactly the same frame and most of the parts interchange.
About the only real difference other than more polishing is, the Official Police has the firing pin mounted on the hammer, and the Python has the pin in the frame.
