Does anyone offer aftermarket Black Stainless finishes?

I am wanting to have several pistols refinished in Black Stainless. I am not talking about Sig like finishes where the gun is all black. I am wanting the BSS like on Springfield Armorys Black Stainless 1911 or certain Taurus pistols where the flats are polished. Does anyone offer this type of aftermarket finish? Thanks in advance.

The frame can also be done, as long as its not an anodized frame ( aluminum base ). You dont want to strip the anodizing off and expose a bare aluminum frame, unless you want ALOT of up keep to keep it from oxidizing.

APWCOGAn does a black matte hard chrome. There is also a polished hard chrome. Not cheap, but several on the forum recommended them and that specific coating to me. Of course it is not SS, but it is supposed to have better corrosion and scratch resistant properties than SS. I imagine they apply the hard chrome then polish only the "flats."

I had a S&W 645 stainless for years with black Bearcoat on it. Wears well, looks good and is self lubricating.

Consider The Robar Companies in Phoenix, AZ. I'm unsure if they offer exactly what you are looking for, but they have blackened several stainless guns for me and I've been very satisfied. They offer quite a few finish options.

depends on the gun you are getting coated and what all you want done(internals, magazines, etc). They have a pricelist on their site.
