Does anyone know if there is a site that tells you the original caliber first introduced when the firearm first came out. Besides Wikipedia because it doesn't always have all the information you need. When I mean original caliber I mean like when the USP came out in .40, or even other information like how the early USP 40s had standard rifling, or how the Walther P99's first generation line had the ski hump inside the trigger guard. By the way, is the magazine release a lever or a button like the USP series? Thanks.

The P226 started out in 9mm as did the 92FS and the G 17, among many many others.

The 1911 started in 45 ACP of course.

I'm being a little facetious of course, but anyways, your question is not entirely clear to me so I am reaching.
