I've got some 52 grain Sierra hpbt, h414, and winchester large rifle primers. Does anyone have any experience with this combo and if so what are some tips for loading it? Thanks, Ben

Ben.....obviously I don't check this site often, sorry.

I use the combo you mentioned in my 22-250. I use 38 gr of H414, the 52 Sierra HPBT, federal lg rifle match primers. Seated at 2.515 into Remington brass....separated into lots of 50 by weight. Redding competition dies, Krieger barrel, BDL action, Jewell trigger, Leupold scope.

Tried lots of combos, this works best. Prairie dogs hate it.

Tomcs... Thanks. I had heard of this combo before but I was surprised when I couldn't find many guys saying they had run the 52 hpbts and h414 together. Frankly though I haven't needed a load for a while cause I was gifted several boxes of winchester white box 45 grain jhp. I was shockingly getting sub .450 groups out of them! But I'm down to a few rounds so ya know what that means! Btw, you've got a nice sounding rig. Right now I've just got a marlin x7vh with a Nikon prostaff slapped on it, but for the money its hard to beat. I have been thinking about getting a pac-nor or McGowan barrel for it though, I think I would like faster than a 1-14 twist.

That bullet coupled with 4895 has been the best coyote killer for me for years. 5 shot dime sized groups at 100 yds. Using Rem 700 Bdl.
