Im trying to see how they fit . Im concerned the base of the sight is wider then the slide . Although looks matter Im more concerned about snag and holster issues .

Im looking at the hulison 507 or the Trijicon RMR they both look about the same size, so I’m curious of how they actually fit on the micro compact pistols ?

The slide being narrower means a number of optics won’t fit because their footprints are dependent on screw patterns that are too wide. You can probably find plates to make the larger optics work (like in the link above), but it’s easier to just get a micro dot.

After some more research , it appears I want/need the Holosun 507K compact with ACSS reticle . It's just slightly thinner then the standard 407/507 but is about 3/16 shorter . The dot/reticle has a 3moa dot with a 230moa circle . The only time you see the circle is when your sight picture/dot is off center . You then see part of the circle . If you see any part of the circle you move the muzzle in that direction to pick up the dot . So you see the right side of the circle you move the muzzle to the right to find the dot . No more fishing around for it . I've used cheap red dots on 22lr pistols and I don't loose the dot often but do have a hard time finding it when I first present the firearm . This reticle system should really help that .

Here is a "short" video of the reticle with different model Holosun sight and gun . With fully extended hands from your eyes you should not see the circle if dot is centered in the glass .
