Does anyone carry more than one CCW at the same time?

I will sometimes has a spare CCW near me (under the seat, in a locked desk drawer, etc.) in addition to a CCW on my person but I'm just curious if anyone regularily carries more than one CCW at the same time? If so, why? And how do you carry in comfort and still manage to effectively conceal both weapons?

I don't carry two guns, but I know some people that do. The two big reasons seem to be fear of losing the primary gun and the "New York Reload" (having a second gun).

There are ways to do this comfortably. The one I see most is one gun IWB and the other in a fanny pack. Pocket and ankle holsters are used a lot with backup guns. I know Mitch Rosen makes two-gun shoulder holsters, one gun under each arm.

Check with Oberkommando, in another thread he says he carries three guns with two spare mags for each one. Ask him how.

IMHO, a cop on duty might be well served with a backup gun, but I don't see a huge necessity for the average CCW civilian. I may be wrong, so anybody who can tell of a backup gun saving their life, speak up.

I have a hard enough time getting around with an EAA Witness PS 9mm.. much less my newly aquired Taurus M85ul. Beats the heck outta me how anyone could carry more than one gun on their person (comfortably without printing) at any given time. In my opinion.. if you happen to need another gun, then you just found a situation you probably really shouldn't be in to begin with!

Many folks go for the semi-auto belt gun in an IWB and a J frame or small 32 ACP semi
as a pocket gun.

Given the new lightweight guns like the
SW series (if you got one early of course)- Taurus ultralites,
or the P-32s, Guardians, Autuagas (out of production and attractively cheap), it isn't hard to carry an extra gun. The smaller NAA mini revolvers are hard to beat also.

So if you are really with it, you need a
main gun, backup and two knives.

Later you can add the Surefire, ASP and OC.

Then the cell phone, fire extinguisher,
and the ...

I usually have one Glock (36 or 30) on me with a keltec 32 in my pocket.

That Keltec 32 is just too small by itself!!!

David, read that thread (after all, I started it)
quote:
... Check with Oberkommando, in another thread he says he carries three guns with two spare mags for each one ...[/B][/quote]That's pretty impressive. I once carried two CCWs and managed to conceal them pretty effectively but wasn't very comfortable.

How 'bout a P-11 IWB via a belly band, a P-32 in the shirt pocket, another using a belt clip behind the belt buckle, a Tom Cat in the boot, and a USP45 in a shoulder holster!

Yep, to be used as a demo in a CWP class. Betting $10 nobody finds more than maybe one or two. And then only because we ask them to "see" where "it" is. No frisking, please.

Just don't do this out "there."

Seriously, a P-32 is an excellent back-up anytime you feel the need. Calibers aside. I sure don't want to be on the receiving end of a P-32 loaded with Fiocchi FMJ's handled by someone who knows how to use the litle spit wad!
