I generally leave the TV on FOX all day a I work in my office. For the past 2 weeks its been nothing but who ANS baby goes to, who her money goes to, where is her corpse going to go, who the baby's father is.....my question is "who the heck cares?" This was a sleazy woman who lived a sleazy life and is now gone. None of her estate goes to me or you the reader likely, so why would we care?
I could understand once a week on the news reporting something for 2 minutes when a development comes, but turning this into a live soap opera is sick. Seeing a report of a fireman getting Mrs. Ferguson's cat out of the tree in Alabama is more interesting and worth of newstime than this.

Waste of time.

And I think Judge Seidlin agrees. It seems obvious that he sees that this is a tug of war over money. I was tempted to write him and offer to lend him my chain saw to solve the whole thing, but I thought it might be somehow construed as a threat, so I didn't. You could see the disgust on his face.

An ex-stripper who married a millionare, couldn't sing, couldn't act, couldn't dance. Only real talent was getting knocked up. She is getting more coverage then President Ford did. Sickening.:barf: Yet another reason I don't watch the news on TV.

well, that pretty much says it all +1

Now at least FOX is focusing on a police chase in Miami. A white SUV barreling down the road

IMO, the media is using this story as a way of distracting us from far more important matters. MSNBC, Fox, CNBC, and CNN have time and again interupted real news stories with "breaking news" concerning this nonsense. I'm not interested in anything about this story, yet am having these stations ram the most insignificant "Anna" updates down my throat. My TV remote has been getting a real work out these past 10 days or so while I try to find a channel that is not covering this story. It seems that the stock market channels are the only stations that have not gone overboard on this nonsense. Never seen anything like it.

Like FMB42 said. This is just a diversion. Real stuff is happening that they don't want to report on. A small child could see thru this, turn off the tube and go elsewhere for news.

I will go so far as to say this. It's tragic that her life ended the way it did. I don't feel it's appropriate to cast judgement on her.
We are all far from perfect.
"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

It's bad enough I have to suffer through it on TV. I certainly don't think it needs to be discussed here.

Redworm:

I bet it was because, like me, he's outraged (at least mildly) that such trash gets a whole week of airtime. Shoot a little black kid (I'm white, so don't go there) in a "bad" neighborhood and you hear about it ONCE for 30 seconds on the news unless maybe it's a 5-year old, then you hear TWICE.

Yes, she's a human. Yes, she is dead. Sure, she deserves her 30 seconds on the news.

But not hours of coverage of how they're going to saw up her body so each family member gets a piece hoping they can somehow turn that into grubbing of some money.

We all (or some of us) heard Judge Seidlin's "inappropriate" remarks during the hearing with the grubbers. Anybody notice the look on his face? He looked like he could barely sit still. Like someone in crap up to his neck and couldn't take the stink.

Imagine the likelihood of your being able to get hours of prime-time airtime and hours of a judge's time to discuss your favorite important cause. Fat chance.

I better stop before I say what I REALLY think.

You sure didn't see a flicker of intelligence on his face, that's for sure. That fool is simply getting tv face time on an issue that a real judge could have resolved in less than an hour! He should go back to driving a cab in NY. How the hell does a fool like that get appointed or elected circuit court judge?

Oh, yeah, and he does want his own tv show.

In that case, let him have his own show. He'll be off the bench and everybody will be happy. And the grubbers will have gotten at least a little of what they deserved before he leaves.

He didnt' look unintelligent to me. He looked FED UP.

She was a whore, she abused drugs, she died. Why this merits anything other than a blurb on the ticker is completely beyond me.

NO. not worth 2 seconds, leave that garbage for the Tabloids..
the wheels are comming off the world and nothing is said about the real issues,
we're losing more of our rights every day, nothing said.

The New World Order and the Trilateral Commission-- nothing ever said.

hundreds of soldiers comming back with missing limbs-- very little said, just list the KIAs..

Millions of Illegals running around and drawing benifits, very little said on most net works.

Half the senators and congressmen are running around the country campaigning while we pay their salery to work- nothing said.

Congressmen get 15000.oo per month plus med ins. when they retire.
Our old people can't even afford a doctor---nothing said.

Ridiculous waste of time.

And I don't know what's more upsetting:

1) seeing hours and hours of news channel redundancy on the issue

2) or seeing her name pop up here on TFL

The point here is not to add fame to ANS. The point is what old 12 gauge said. Valuable air time pissed away when other issues are just swept under the rug.

I'm sure the issues I see ignored are different, by and large, from those O12G sees ignored, but they are all ignored nonetheless. For the sake of trash TV.

We pay a huge FCC for this wonderful service (there goes my radio license). At least they're nice on the phone.

Do I care about Ms. Smith...hmmm??? Well let me put it this way, the no talent, selfish, irresponsible, irrational, egotistical, brainless globs of primordial protoplasm we so lovingly refer to as celebrities mean about as much to me as our Bill of Rights means to every socialistic/autocratic member of the United Nations. :barf: :barf: :barf:
