do you think George W. might have an... accident?

Let me first establish that I do not condone violence for any reason other than justifiable defense of self/family/country. I do not wish for any politician to be attacked, and that assassination is not a morally supportable means to a political end. I am also a strong supporter of George W. and am praying daily that he becomes our next president.

What has crossed my mind lately is this: would the Dems stoop so low as to arrange for George W. to have an "accident"?

Don't be too quick to judge me for postulating this. We have all seen multiple examples where:

1) Clinton/Gore were on the political ropes and seemed to be finished, yet rose from the ashes in triumph

2) many, many people who posed problems for Clinton/Gore have turned up dead as a doornail under undeniably suspicious circumstances, and the investigations of those deaths were full of holes that all worked together to exonerate anyone of foul play

I'm ruminating on all this because George W. seems to be making extraordinary headway against Gore:

1) George W. is surging ahead in almost all polls, even those among the soccer moms and independents. This advance was happening well before the convention, too.

2) his proposed cabinet members are simply awesome and lend enormous appeal to the Republican ticket

3) his record in Texas is attractive to all but the most dedicated liberals and treehuggers

4) the unity of the Republican party is at its highest level in almost a decade

The Dems are shaking in their boots. The nation overall seems to be saying "we've had enough of Clinton/Gore. No more.". Taking George W. out of the picture would devastate the surging wave of the Republican campaign.

Given that there is a Dem subclass that will do anything Clinton/Gore command (i.e. dirty work), do you think someone might give the order to whack George W.?

Moderator, I hope you see that I am not proposing the commission of a crime, I am only posting my concerns that a crime may be committed by some very shady people.

I think it's possible that Junior will have an accident, yes. We already know what the Clinton Cabal is capable of, don't we?

Interesting. I have been seeing more threads started lately of shall we say...a curious nature? Invariably they are not started by senior members. And no, it had not occured to me that anything bad would happen to the presidential candidates and I hope nothing does.

It worked for JFK Jr. didn't it?

All he had to do was mention taking a position against Hillarious, and he died as a result...

If (please note that word; it indicates that I'm writing about a hypothetical situation) there were some sort of evil puppetmasters of the Left who were willing to win the election at any cost, they could accomplish that goal by much less risky means than rubbing out GWB. They could, for instance, arrange for some sort of disastrous revelation (real or created) about Bush or the GOP that would throw the election to Gore. Or they could just arrange for a deluge of pro-Gore publicity.

But if (note that word again!) "they" were going to kill anyone, it would make more sense for them to get rid of Clinton, not Bush. That would accomplish several things at once:

1) It would free Gore from the legacy of Clinton's scandals, since no one would publicly criticize the dead.

2) It would give Gore a chance to "take command" and then campaign as an incumbent.

3) It would give the Democrats a martyr to rally around.

4) It would prevent any further embarassments once WJC leaves office.

5) It could create a media/public uproar against whatever bugaboo (guns, militias, the anti-abortion movement, et cetera) could be "linked" to the assassin.

So, IMHO, while such a thing could happen, it's extremely unlikely. I suppose it's useful for us to discuss such possibilities rather than letting hidden fears fester in private, but once we realize that there are bigger problems to worry about, we should drop the subject and move on.

Can I take off my tinfoil hat now? ;)

I don't get your point here, Dave. Why do you say my post is of a "curious nature"? Are you implying that it's a troll? Sorry, this material is exactly what had ocurred to me while driving in to work today. Isn't that what these forums are for, to discuss such issues?

And what do you mean by the "senior members" comment? Is this another implication that I'm trolling, or are you saying that my post is somehow beneath that of senior members?

Are you implying that I am a member of some agency or anti-gun group looking to cause trouble on your discussion board? If so, then perhaps you should question the multitude of other posts here that express doubt about the motives or sincerity of the government and HCI/MMM/etc. It sounds like the only posts you want to see are along the lines of "which is better, Hoppes #9 or Ed's Red?".

Sorry if I sound petulant, but I'm really mystified by your derisive reply to what was an absolutely honest and heartfelt post.

Thanks in advance for clarifying your obscure comments.

I doubt anything is going to happen to George Junior. George Senior has strong ties to the CIA, Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, Bilderbergers, Skull and Bones, etc. If something happens to Junior, the perpetrators can kiss their katooties goodbye.

GWB is not as vulnerable as, oh let's say Vince Foster. The JFK thing is a stretch, by the way, unless someone forced him to get in the plane and fly off into the dark with a broken leg.

Joke I heard: I'm so old I remember when the Kennedys killed their women one at a time.

Carnivore that.

Ledbetter

Glock-A-Roo, please accept my apologies. Ive re read your post and it seems written in sincere concern for these unfortunate possibilities. I don't think we will ever know just how much political skullduggery has really happened.

I personally prefer Hoppes #9, works good and smells not bad ;)

Ledbetter,

Why do you think JFK Jr is a stretch?? Curious on that.

Let's see, the plane goes down. Navy divers find it, and the NTSB people, as well as Coadst Guard are ushered out of the area. No evidence to be examined by another official body.

Then, the bodies are brought up, no official autopsy, the bodies are cremated. No evidence to be examined by another official body.

The wreckager is taken into "custody", and that's the official story. No evidence to be examined by another official body.

What about that is terribly consistent, and typical when discussing the outxomes of certain parties who may be damaging to the Clinton administration?
And, at the same time, inconsistent with every other airplane crash that occurs in this country?
The fact that these variations from the norm are irregular. But tie in the fact that he(JFK Jr.) had made notice that he was going to run for position in NY State, as it were, against Hillary Clinton?
Now you have an irregularity that is consistent with many other people who've had some confrontational relationship with the Clinton's. And the consistent thing there, is that many of them are dead. By either suicide, murder's, or just plain dissapearing all together.
Is there a pattern emerging here?

Donny,

In my mind, the evidence is most consistent with a student-pilot over-reaching his abilities to fly in darkness and/or weather. Some irregularities in the aftermath can be expected to protect the Kennedy Privacy. If there were matters pointing to the Clintons, I think they would have surfaced by now.

Interesting point, though. Clintons vs. Kennedys, no holds barred; who would come out on top?

Kennedy's vs Clinton?

I need to know why history has painted JFK as the end all. I was born in 1970, so I do not have an answer to "Where were you?" As I can tell from my LIMITED knowledge of this time period, he was not it. My opinion is drawn from the open adultery, the lack of support for the landing party on the Bay of Pigs and the expansion of the welfare system. The rest of the family, that I am familiar with, ie Teddy or William, are nothing more than alcoholic, rapist elitist.

The question should be, if Clintons and the Kennedy's duked it out, who would end up further in the gunk?

My vote would be for King Jack. Jack = Norma Jean. Kaiser Bill = Monica L + an illegal Cohiba.

Thanks Dave. :)

Assasinating the candidate whom the gun owners support would be suicide, and they know it. While most of us wouldn't kill Gore over it, I'm sure some would try, and eventually someone would succeed. The SS can't do a 1/2 mile sweep everywhere he visits, so they have to play nice, that's all there is to it.

On the contrary, Dangus, I believe that none of "us" would do anything like that. I don't know who you are referring to when you say "most of us," but The Firing Line is about Responsible Firearms Ownership.

I'm getting a bad feeling about this thread. Let's think thrice and post once in this subject area. Dangerous ground we're treading on here.

Maybe this is a bad example but I can't think of a better one right now. Compare him to Arnold. By today's standards's, Arnold even at his peak would have a hard time winning a national contest. Yet, he is considered by many in the sport to be the greatest bodybuilder of all time desipte the fact that Lee won more titles than he did. His acting and movies aside, Arnold started a trend in bodybuilding ...

I don't think that I'm explaining this very well. If it makes sense, then I'm glad that I could shed some light on this.

Isn't free speech wonderful?!

In what other country could we have such a discussion and still be alive?!

Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce that the Bill of Rights is still alive, wounded, but alive!

Disclaimer: To those in the employ of the Executive Branch: I do not now and have never suggested, advocated, promoted or condoned the assassination, or even the harrassment, of any governmental figure of the United States of America or any of its individual states!
