Let me first establish that I do not condone violence for any reason other than justifiable defense of self/family/country. I do not wish for any politician to be attacked, and that assassination is not a morally supportable means to a political end. I am also a strong supporter of George W. and am praying daily that he becomes our next president.
What has crossed my mind lately is this: would the Dems stoop so low as to arrange for George W. to have an "accident"?
Don't be too quick to judge me for postulating this. We have all seen multiple examples where:
1) Clinton/Gore were on the political ropes and seemed to be finished, yet rose from the ashes in triumph
2) many, many people who posed problems for Clinton/Gore have turned up dead as a doornail under undeniably suspicious circumstances, and the investigations of those deaths were full of holes that all worked together to exonerate anyone of foul play
I'm ruminating on all this because George W. seems to be making extraordinary headway against Gore:
1) George W. is surging ahead in almost all polls, even those among the soccer moms and independents. This advance was happening well before the convention, too.
2) his proposed cabinet members are simply awesome and lend enormous appeal to the Republican ticket
3) his record in Texas is attractive to all but the most dedicated liberals and treehuggers
4) the unity of the Republican party is at its highest level in almost a decade
The Dems are shaking in their boots. The nation overall seems to be saying "we've had enough of Clinton/Gore. No more.". Taking George W. out of the picture would devastate the surging wave of the Republican campaign.
Given that there is a Dem subclass that will do anything Clinton/Gore command (i.e. dirty work), do you think someone might give the order to whack George W.?
Moderator, I hope you see that I am not proposing the commission of a crime, I am only posting my concerns that a crime may be committed by some very shady people.
