Do you remember when......

Do you remember when?

Our U.S. military forces were at fighting strength, and capable of protecting U.S. interests on multiple fronts, at the same time?

The U.S. military was the premier super-power on the planet, and our executive leadership was proud of it?

Communist controlled countries, and rogue states were falling all over the world, without the U.S. going to war?

Honest citizens were not afraid that “jack Booted Government Thugs,” would break down their doors, because they were reported to have some firearms?

The White House Christmas tree did not have condoms, and “sex toys,” hanging from it?

The People’s White House was not a national bed and breakfast stop for fat-cat political donors?

The President’s Cabinet did not look like a group of refugees from a carnival sideshow?

The Federal Department of Justice, really deserved the title?

Air Force One was actually used for State activities, and not luxury transportation for world vacation travels, and political fund-raisers.

We actually had a U.S. energy policy, and gasoline was less than $1.25 per gallon?

Our nations deepest defense secrets were not for sale to our enemies?

The President’s wife did not consider herself to be “Co-President, and attend cabinet meetings?

The President’s “sex life” was not generally a topic of discussion?

Federal undeveloped lands were there for the people to use for recreation, even hunting and shooting?

Barbara Streisand, and Teddy Kennedy stayed tanked up most of the time, because they were depressed about the country’s direction, but you felt pretty good about things?

If you do remember these times, and would like to see them return, you have a chance to help straighten out the national disgrace that our government has become. Help elect a Conservative Republican majority this November. Elect Bush and Cheney.

KAC556,

All excellent points. Yes, Bush is our best hope to restore integrity, but I feel the need to point out that every Presidential administration could have a list equally as long. It's sad but true. What makes your list of Clinton's presidency so infuriating is that his list is sprinkled with moral and ethical shortcomings which taint all other issues.

But hey, aren't we all better off than we were eight years ago?

I remember gas at 27 cents a gallon (!!!)
...my mother telling me a carton of smokes cost $3.50 in WWII ( about like a pack now-- if AlBorg wins, look for $6.00 a pack smokes, $10.00 a gallon gas, vanished free speech, and shortages of everthing- including your freedom...)
...my father telling me you could build a nice "starter" home ( 2 Br, 1 bath, small, for a couple & baby ) for $7,000-- and you'd never get back the money you put in it, because it was a "used" house...(!!!)
...but mostly I remember all we have lost during the most ethical admin in history & wonder, "How can we ever get it back?"
