Have a friend trying to sell a New England Firearms Pardner SB1 single shot break open 410 shotgun.

Any one have one, or know anything about them??

It's a nice, basic utility shotgun. Been around a very long time and still in business as H&R 1871 (owned now by Remington). Solid, reliable, no frills. I had one and it was a good little squirrel getter. My Walmart has the 12 gauge Pardner for $117. The 410, new, would be a little more.

Inexpensive, lightweight, simple, reliable.

If it doesn't bother you that it's a .410, you might as well as long as you get a good price.

good guns and you can send it in to the factory and they will fit other barrels to it. I forget if you can get rifle barrels on the shotgun frame or not.

I haven't shot one but I've came close to buying a pardoner turkey gun but bought a Stevens instead. Only thing that sold me on the Stevens was it's 36 inch barrel. But the pardoner seems to be a very nice gun. I have a New England rifle and I really like it, excellent gun.

I have both a 12, and a 20 gauge SB1...

The 12 is my 'truck gun', is ugly as sin, and never fails me...

I paid $85 at K-Mart in the late 80's...
