"Do you carry a P32 in your pocket?"

I was wondering -- if you carry a P32 in your pocket -- do you keep a round "in the tube"?

I have a P32 in a DeSantis pocket holster (it has a sticky finish on the outside of the holster -- like fly paper) -- but I'm not sure if it is a good idea to keep a round in the tube when carrying.

Would it be a better idea to "rack the slide" while drawing the P32 in case of a defensive situation?

Thanks for your opinions.

Me Too. I figure I'd take too many incomings while trying to rack the slide. I carry mine all over, front shirt pocket, back pants pocket, front pants pocket, under hat, in sock.... Great pistol.

The P32 is safe enough to carry with a round in the chamber, as it is a DA design. A SA or striker-fired weapon of that size would be another story.

Brave guys

I don't carry one in the tube unless the gun is in a pocket holster. I've never had it go off "dry" in my pocket though.

Regards.

You bet!

I put one in the chamber, & top off the magazine.
I carry in a high quality pocket holster, so the
trigger is well-covered. And without a full stroke
on that trigger, there's no way a P-32 will fire. :D

Same here. One in the chamber and a Hedley pocket holster.

I have a similar question though ...

I'm about to get a belt clip for my P32. Do any of you carry a P32 (with belt clip) IWB with one in the chamber?

I have a disability so my hand dexterity is very limited in my left hand. I can't depend on being able to rack the slide in an emergency.

But, I'm anxious to get my P32 out of my pocket because I want my pocket back! :) Any thoughts?

Cheers!

I carry my P-32 fully loaded and topped-off, in my front pocket using the pocket clip. I have even been know to simply drop it in my front pocket witout useing a pocket holster..but only when wearing pants with more vertical pocket openings (pretty much any slacks or kahkis) that make useing the clip imposible. Maybe I'm missing something, if I am please clue me in, but whats the danger. When I wear a gun anywere on my body I am keenly aware of keeping things from pokeing at that general area. With the empty gun in my pocket, I have tried to pull the trigger, and never could get it to drop the hammer. On the rare ocasions when I carry it just naked in my pocket, nothing goes in there with it, and I never put my hand in that pocket unless I'm takeing the gun out. When I do remove (or draw, if the need ever arises) my finger is well clear of the trigger guard untill the gun is on target or cleared for storage. But thats the rule no matter what the carry position, so I dont see the real danger. I just always thought pocket holsters were to keep the gun from printing and to help it stay in a favorable drawing position. The P-32, with its squared off profile does a fine job of staying in a comfortable drawing position, and dosnt print, atleast in my pockets.

Yes, I sure do...............

I keep one in the chamber and carry my P32 in a slightly modified Uncle Mike's size 1 pocket holster. Virtually undetectable.

If I owned a pocket pistol that I was afraid to carry one on the pipe, I'd buy a different pocket pistol! There is no sense in spotting the perp the time it'll take to chamber a round under stress, and that's assuming you don't manage to jam the gun in the process! I own a number of pocket pistols, and I trust any one of them with one in the pipe.

YES! I carry my P32 in front right pocket, chamber-loaded. It's a loooooooooong trigger pull AND the trigger guard is covered by the MD Enterprises holster - very safe, IMO. You definitely want to get the first shot off QUICKLY when all you have is .32 "acp".

The clip works very well for me...Just clip inside pants at 4 oclock position...11/2 inch belt completely covers pistol...So, the gun rides between trousers and shorts and is completely covered by belt...The ultimate IWB....Completely disappears and this is with shirt tucked in....

I see no problem with it. I carried a P-32 around the house (only place I can carry legally, the anti-gun state police are in charge of concealed carry permits where I live) not in a holster, without a round in the chamber, and the hammer never dropped. Even when trying to get it to go off, the only way I found that I could make it was if I got a key through the trigger guard and got the key oriented just right and sat down just the right way with the key against the arm of the chair could I get the trigger to pull far enough to make the hammer drop. That's a very unlikely thing to happen. One thing to remember on the P-32, there isn't much force holding it in battery, so even if you put pressure on the trigger, it still won't fire unless there is no backward pressure on the slide (or forward pressure on the grip).

I'd carry it in a pocket without keys with confidence. With keys, I'd at least want a tight holster.z

Yes. All the time for a couple of years. If you have an AD with the P32, you just weren't meant to handle guns.
