Do those magazine speed loaders work?

I hate to admit it - - but - - my hand strength just ain't up to loading the S&W .45 acp Shield.
Why that thing is so darned difficult to load is a real turn off.

Anyhow, what's the scoop on the loaders?

I see them from about $12 to $35.

Are the cheaper ones worth it or do I have to spring for the expensive one?

Yes. I bought this one. It is a huge benefit for weak hand strength. Allows you to us 2 hands on tough mags.

My review of the Caldwell Mag Loader. I'm still having good success. I needed to take stress off my elbow and this worked.

IME, the cheaper ones require 2 hands and do little to reduce more than finger stress.

For Sure!! The Uplula is really well made and works like a charm. I also have a bench speedloader for AR15's Both are a bit costly but well worth it. There is also a speed loader out there for the Sig MPX that works great.

mark me down for +1 on uplula.

I have some cheap loaders and they are cheap for a reason.

Uplula is the real deal, it'll set you back 25-35 bucks but it's worth it, easy on the hands can load all day.. it's faster as well

I have an UpLULA for 9mm to 45acp. It works great except for my Taurus mags which are slightly wider. For them I use an Adco Superthumb. The Adco I paid $11 for. I paid about $30 for the UpLULA. The Adco is much simpler, but the UpLULA is more versatile. I would say they are worth the money if you shoot very much at all.

I've been using them for several years for both 9mm, .380ACP and .45ACP. Saves my poor fingers and hands. Also have a couple for .22lr, both Ruger, S&W and Hammerli mags. At 79 I need all the help I can get

UPLula: despite the stupid name they perform excellently. Just be sure to get the correct model for your application.

Another Uplula fan. I should be on commission. Whenever I see someone watching me use mine at the range, I show them how it works, let them try it out, and hear "I gotta get one of those!"

THESE are one of the best.

They have different colors available, but I suggest a bright easy to see color. Makes it less likely you will leave it or lose it.

Unfortunately, some fakes and copies have made their way onto Amazon. So if you get them from Amazon, only buy "sold by Amazon" as those are less likely to be fakes. And be sure you are not mistakenly ordering a copycat with a similar name.

Or just get it from the link above.

I have 4 different UpLulas. They all are fantastic. They're not really what I would call a "speedloader", but instead, a magazine loading assist device. They really help with high capacity magazines. Try loading a 32 round Colt 9mm carbine magazine on a cold day without an UpLula. You simply wont be able to, but with the UpLula, its a breeze.

They truly are a "Must Have" for anyone who likes to shoot.

I'll chime in late here. The Uplula (affectionately known as a "Lulu") is an indispensable accessory for just about every semi-auto pistol and for that matter there is a version for the .223. I don't leave home without mine.

If you have to buy range time by the half hour the 'LuLu' is cheaper than buying a dozen magazines for each gun.

I don't think mine is the UPLula brand but it looks very much like it. It does work and makes loading 16 rounds in the CZ mag a dream.

I've used the UPLula for years. It's amazing how many people have never heard of them.

Anyone here use one? :D
