Do these P99's look different to you too?

Or am I just that sleepy?

Looking at the P99, then just below to the P99QA, the QA looks "odd". Both the front and rear of the slide, as well as the trigger guard and indeed even the grip angle look different when compared with the standard P99 above, and even the bad ole' P990 below it. You guys see that, right?

Hey, another useless thing to notice...

Scroll all the way to the bottom, to the pic of the elusive P22. The accessory rail looks like a weaver-style rail (ala Smith & Walther SW99)

Hey, I don't know.... I think I'm just gonna give up looking and go back to watching Farscape :) It's a marathon tonight ya know... (I love that show!)

Oh yeah... P.S.

I rented a SW99 in 9mm today at the range (they didn't have a real P99) just for kicks.

Fired 150 rounds through it without a single hitch... But the counter guy told me they just got it back from S&W... the frame cracked almost in half, and Smith replaced it (new serial #).

First one to post "and your point is" is a butthead :D

"And your point is"? :) The devil made me do it.

Actually, you may need some sleep. It looks to me like the picture of the P99QA looks like it might be at a slight angle. That gives it a different effect. The P22 does look a bit different though. I would think this is to be expected since it's scaled down and the handle changed to accomodate the .22 cal.

Just my 2 cents.

I think its just the pictures. I'll agree the P99 QA looks weird. But in real life they all look the same. All have the same frame, the slides and barrels are slightly different on my P99's compared to my P99 QA's.

The QA photo seems to be a very poor cut and paste job of a slightly distorted image of the gun. I do have to say, though, that the molded bevel where the accessory rail begins above and in front of the trigger guard does appear to be a different angle.

The second jpeg looks odd because it was cropped or the code is corrupt. If you scroll down to the PPK jpeg you will observe that it also is cropped wrong.

See, I knew you guys could help me out...

Hey P99... Which do you like better, the QA or the "regular" P99? Am I correct in assuming that the QA trigger is somewhere between the single and double actions I experienced on the *&* ripoff?

Thanks for the input... I'll cancel my Eye appt.

I actually like both trigger styles, but I've been using my QA more lately, especially for IDPA. The QA has the trigger fully forward and only comes back about half way when it releases the striker. I do like the fact that the QA is a constant trigger pull all the time. However the SA on the regular P99 is sweet. I can get really fast follow up shots with the SA mode.
