...SA in .454? Or have they in the past?

They seem to make all the other Redhawk/Super Redhawk calibers in the the Blackhawk lineup, but I dont remember seeing the .454 Casull.

Is that the case?

Folks have been asking for SA's in .454 and .480 for years now, but Ruger hasn't seen fit to bring any out.

According to Brian Pearce in an article in Handloader some years back, Ruger has made prototype 5 shot .480 Blackhawks, but for one reason or other shelved the project.

Personally, I would love to see a Bisley Hunter in either of them. Easy scope mounting and best grip in the business for taming recoil.

Maybe if everyone called or emailed Lipsey's we might could get them to special order a run. Worked for the Flat Top .44 Special!:D

They had a lot of problems with the 454 (55k psi) on that frame, so I'd doubt they'd go with it in the smaller BH frame. Even the 480 ran to 48k psi. If you want a SA with more horsepower, get a Linebaugh or Bowen in 475 or 500 Linebaugh. It'll cost you 2-3k to convert your full size BH.
